We have been learning about what the land is used for around Dipton and the jobs people do to support.  We created this mural to display our findings.

Flax Weaving

 

Using flax leaves found from around the school community, smoothing each leaf out with a stone and being taught how to weave a mat by Enviorschools Leaders, Grace and Max.

After experiencing a big snowfall in the holidays, we had a discussion about it and then we created a piece of our own 'Winter Wonderland'.  Come into school and see our wonderful artwork!

Book Character Dress Up Day

What a great day organised by the school council to help raise money for the Nepal Earthquake.  Everyone dressed up as their favourite book character.  Helen Campbell who wrote the book "What is a Southlander?" come along and talked about being an author.
